19th October 1977: Piper's, Spring Gardens, Manchester With The Distractions, Snyde, and Nervous Breakdown. Apparantly Hooky refused to let Nervous Breakdown use his bass gear.  Pipers was on Spring Gardens. It was a weekend hangout for clubbers of all kinds and had Jazz Funk nights, Motown, Soul nights and a mid-week Punk night. The club had a small restaurant. During the week they got a lot of local celebrities from Coronation Street and other actors who were working at Granda studios. Pipers was NOT at the Cyprus Tavern on Princess Street Pipers is not to be confused with Pip's which was at 55 Fennel Street.
