Recorded in April 1979 at Strawberry Studios, Stockport.

The famous sleeve design was done by Peter Saville, but it was Bernard who found the picture used on the front: "100 consecutive pulses from the pulsar CP 1919". Released in June 1979 in Europe and July 1980 in the US.

The album has been re-released several times. The 2007 CD release includes a bonus disc with live tracks recorded at the Factory on July 13th 1979.

Planned for UK release in May 1980 but was delayed until July. Released in December 1980 in the US. The cover artwork comes from the Staglieno Cemetery in Genova, Italy.

The album has been re-released several times. The 2007 CD release includes a bonus disc with live tracks recorded at the University of London Union on February 8th 1980.

Still features previously unused studio material and a live recording of Joy Division's last concert. Originally planned for release in August, it was eventually released on October 8th 1981. The CD version was released in March 1990. A number of the studio recordings have "added post production", including over-dubs by the surviving members of the band.

The album has been re-released several times. The 2007 CD release includes a bonus disc with live tracks recorded at the Town Hall, High Wycombe on February 20th 1980.

A Joy Division retrospective compiled by London Records after the demise of Factory Records, released June 12th 1995. The front cover shows a "diffuse interference pattern". The background to this web site was inspired by the cover design by Howard Wakefield.

This album contains the previously unreleased first album, with the Warsaw Demo as "bonus tracks". It is credited to Warsaw, although tracks 1 to 12 were recorded after the band became Joy Division. Originally released in 1995, it became generally available in the UK in early 1997.

This brings together the two Peel Sessions for BBC radio and the BBC TV appearance on Something Else. The album also contains an interview with Ian Curtis and Stephen Morris for BBC Radio's Rock On programme. It was released in the UK in August 2000, in the US in October 2000, and on vinyl in April 2001. In July 2002 the CD was packaged with a New Order BBC concert under the title Before and After.
