Naunton Wayne

Naunton Wayne was an actor who later went on to be in 29 films between 1932 and 1969, including Passport to Pimlico and The Titfield Thunderbolt.

Bessie:
'After our tour had finished I was back in London and once more I auditioned for a Concert Party and whilst there I was approached by a gentleman who asked me if I would go as special vocalist in a show to go to Jersey and Guernsey for a few weeks. That show was called The Tweenies and I might mention that in the show there was a gentleman who played the violin and his name was Naunton Wayne. His wife was a violinist and she was in the show too. He was very nice, but amateurish. I liked him. He did monologues. He was in the show but his wife was the artist - he wasn't very good!'
