Bessie sent this postcard to her brother Will from the Queen's Hotel, Kandy in 1926

Queens Hotel Kandy Ceylon Dear Will I arrived here this morning, but only staying three days before going to Madras. Ceylon is a beautiful place. Here we are over 13 thousand feet above the sea level. This is a picture of the Hotel we are staying in. Our show is a great success. Hope you are quite well. Love Bess
