Thomas Edward Webb (Eddie)

Thomas Edward Webb was known as Eddie and was born in August 1892, in Twickenham, Middlesex
He was living with his family at 19 Somerley Street, Wandsworth at the 1901 census (aged 8)
Profession: butcher, then soldier

Eddie married Gladys Evelyn Pearson on 20th Sept 1914, at St Saviour Parish Church, Brixton Hill, London and they had just over a year together before he joined up.

They had twin boys in 1916 while Eddie was at war:

After Eddie's death, Gladys worked in the Webbs' laundry as an ironer with Bessie during 1930s and 1940s. Tragedy struck once more, as Cecil died in 1931, aged 14, of tubercular meningitis.

In 1920 Gladys married a Mr George Paice and had a son Donald. They moved to Northolt and after a time the family lost touch with her as well as with Eddie's surviving son, Edward Thomas. Gladys died in 1977. We believe that Edward married and had children. His death is registered in Oxfordshire in 1986 aged 69. If any of his family would like to get in touch we would love to hear from them.
