1851 census: William Alexander aged 64, born Axford, an ag lab., living Mill Lane, Ramsbury with wife Sarah, aged 64, born Ramsbury [possibly not them as ages a bit dodgy].

William Alexander bap. 21st Jul 1816, Ramsbury, Wiltshire married Sarah Shuttle (b. abt 1818, Froxfield, Ramsbury) on 7th Dec 1844. She had a son, David Shuttle, b. abt 1837, Froxfield.

1871 census: living in Church Walk, Wandsworth aged 47
1881 census: living at 113 North Street Wandsworth. Engine stoker
Died on 12th July 1882, aged 53, at home, Swingbridge House, Wandsworth, of cancer of the liver, from which he had suffered for two years and peritonitis for 42 hours. His death was registered by E. Allen, shown as his sister-in-law (actually his late wife's aunt).

1861 census: Elizabeth is 3 years old and living with her parents William and Elizabeth. William is an ag. Lab, aged 34 (b.1827), born Bishops Lydeard. Elizabeth snr is 31(b. 1830), also born BL. They have other children: Sarah, 7 (1854); James, 5 (1856)(who goes on to be a Police Constable in London); Johana 10 months.
1871 census Elizabeth is 12 and still living with her parents in BL along with her siblings: James 14, Henry 6,(1865) Eliza Ann 4 (1867) and Caroline 1 (1870) . Where is Johana?
1881 census: Elizabeth Lock is a cook for the Simpson family of 16 Kent Terrace St Marylebone, London.
Shortly afterwards she and William Alexander marry.
1883: 22nd January William Albert Alexander is born. (Got birth cert) At the time his father William is a stoker at a candle factory and they are living at 110 (?)116(?) Maysoule Road, Battersea.
1891 census William is living 12 Wandsworth Bd Road, a tallow stoker at Price's candle factory, with wife Elizabeth born 1859 Bishops Lydeard, Somerset and son William Albert Alexander, aged 8. Also living there: Cecil Lock, a cousin, aged 5, born Colnbrook, Surrey and two boarders, Herbert Peacock, age 23, a Timber Merchant's clerk born East Malesy, Surrey and Frank E. S Rigby, aged 27, an assistant vestry clerk, born Brighton, Sussex.
1901 census: aged 45, living at 33 Birdhurst Road with wife, Elizabeth, aged 42, a house hair worker, born in Somerset Bishops Lyde and their son William A. aged 18.

2. Emily Alexander

born: 1858 Surrey, Wandsworth, laundress.
1891 census she is head of the family living Swingbridge House back with Sarah, Alfred, John and Mona as well as Emily Allen. They are all laundresses apart from John who is a printer's apprentice and Mona who has no occupation listed.
Can't find on 1901 census.

3. Sarah Ann Alexander

born: 21 Feb 1860, Eden Place Wandsworth Surrey
1901 census: single, aged 39, laundress and employer working at home: B Swingbridge House, Wandsworth. Living with her are Alfred and Eleanor as well as aunt Emily Allen.
"Had her own laundry business in London". (Nana)
How long was Swingbridge House a laundry? 1911 census will prove interesting.

4. Lily Alexander

born: 1864, Surrey, Wandsworth, twin sister of Rose birth ref Wandsworth 1d 471
Married William Mayne, b 1864/5, Surrey, Wandsworth possibly married Jun 1887
At 1891 census living in in 4 Sandown Place, Wandsworth (he is a laundryman) with their daughter Daisy E Mayne, aged 2 and cousin William S Mayne, a tailor, born Exeter, Devon. Also present is a visitor, William M Wallis, a bricklayer aged 24, born Spalding Lincoln.
At 1901 census living in 4 Sandown Place, Wandsworth as laundryman and laundress with their daughter Daisy E Mayne, aged 12, and son William R Mayne, aged 5, plus their servant, Florence Fletcher aged 18.

5. Rose Alexander

born: 1864, Surrey, Wandsworth, twin sister of Lily

In June 1889 she married Arthur Luke Barber, born 1864, Greenwich, London, a stone mason. She was a laundress.

At 1891 census living 53 St Margaret's Place, Twickenham, she is a laundress, he is a stonemason.
At 1901 census living at Turnworth, Holly Road, Twickenham

6. Alice Alexander§

Married Frederick William Webb§ and had 3 sons and a daughter.

7. Alfred Alexander

1901 census: single, aged 30, working at home: B Swingbridge House Wandsworth, living with Sarah, Eleanor (sisters) and aunt Emily Allen. Laundryman.

8. John Joseph Alexander

1881 census: With parents and siblings at Church Walk, 113 North Street, Wandsworth
1891 census : aged 18 living with siblings at Swing Bridge House, a Printer's apprentice.
Found on 1901 census - John J Alexander, a compositor printer, married to Mary Ellen, aged 25, who was born in Scotland and with a son, William Donald Alexander, aged 1. They were living at 104 Allfarthing Lane, Wandsworth.
Full details:
John Joseph Alexander married Mary Ellen / Helen Donald, a housemaid, on 7th September 1899 in Seafield, Banff, Scotland. She was the daughter of William Donald, a fencer at the time of their marriage, and Helen (née Clark). Mary was born on 20th June 1875 at 12.40pm in Cullen, Seafield Street (?). At the time her father was a a ploughman.
William Donald and Helen Clark married on 25th November 1871 in Rachwen? Banff. He was a farm servant at the time, aged 22 (therefore born 1849) and she was 23 (therefore born 1848). William was the son of James Donald, a labourer, and Margaret, née McLay(?) and was a labourer. Helen was the daughter of John Clark and Margaret, née Coull (deceased). Adam Coull was a witness at their wedding.

John Alexander and Mary had a son, William Donald, born 2nd February 1900 at Lintmill, Seafield, Cullen.

9. Mona Eleanor (Nelly) Alexander

born: Nov 1875, Surrey.
Her mother died 7 days after her birth.
1901 census: single, aged 25, laundress + worker working at home: B Swingbridge House, Wandsworth
On 17th October 1908 she married Henry Whiten Geary, a 25 year old police constable, son of Charles Murray Geary, a deceased shop keeper. Their address at marriage was 21 Milner Road and they married at Thornton Heath parish church, Surrey. Their witnesses were Arthur Barber, Mona's brother-in-law and Rose Geary.
