These are the two albums that Stephen kept, chronicling his career in international theatre companies. As you can see, they are battered and worn, which is one of the reasons why I have been trying to scan and transcribe the material within them. Click here for the results of my work so far.
This is a photo of one of the more detailed bills that Stephen glued into his scrapbooks. This one is from the Taj Mahal Hotel in Bombay between the 11th and 17th December 1935, when Stephen was with the 'Nine o'clock Revue' company. Just as on the other detailed bills, Stephen is shown to enjoy his alcohol and fizzy water - he partook almost every day! His total bill for a week's stay, including drinks, 'porterage' and calls was Rs68/4.
