26th November 1978: New Electric Circus, Collyhurst Street, Manchester With The Passage This concert hall was promoted as "the new Electric Circus" as it was the same building in Collyhurst Street as the old Electric Circus, but its actual name was the "Venue",. This may have had something to do with the newly opened London club "The Venue", or just coincidence. As far as we know it had nothing to do with the other "New Electric Circus" the previous year at the Osbourne Club.
